In our eyes, the world should be a place where underserved communities are supported, fed, and protected. Where education is a stepping stone to new opportunities. Where we have the power to make our environment healthier and more sustainable.

Raising up our communities

Our culture of collaboration and camaraderie goes beyond our walls. Across the world, Carelon Global Solutions associates are giving food, supplies, financial contributions, and enthusiastically volunteering time to local, underserved communities. This is what we accomplished in 2022.

Delivering social support

Philippines

Philippines associates gave volunteer hours and 30,000 pesos to SOS Children’s Villages, an organization devoted to children experiencing homelessness.

Associates donated 50,000 Philippine pesos and many volunteer hours to Tahanan ng Pagmamahal Children’s Home for abandoned or neglected children.

Through a fundraising gala, Philippine associates raised 30,000 Philippine pesos for the Home for the Golden Gays, an organization dedicated to the support and care of older members of the LGBTQIA+ community.

Hygiene kits, medical supplies, diapers, blankets, toys, books, and 30,000 Philippine pesos were donated to Friends of Cancer Kids (Iloilo) Foundation for children with leukemia.

India

Food drives in India provided nearly 4,000 pounds of grain to children in local communities.

India also donated to SOS Children’s Villages, supporting three caregivers and 36 children in Bangalore, Hyderabad, and Gurugram.

Ireland

Ireland associates provided financial support to St. Gabriel’s Foundation for children with disabilities; Doras, a migrant support group; and ADAPT, a domestic abuse charity.

Better lives through education

Associates in India provided financial assistance to Umeed and the Vidya Foundation to help 200 women and girls train for entry-level jobs.

The India team also donated 10,000 books and resources to National Means-cum-Scholarship for at-risk students.

For the United Way, associates in Hyderabad, India renovated 22 classrooms and tutored students in computer and STEM skills.

To encourage young people to choose careers in health technology, Ireland helped develop the Maker’s Lab at Thomond Community College and sponsored two university scholarships in digital health.

Healthier people, healthier planet

In Ireland, we provided electric vehicle charging stations, built bee hotels and wildflower plantings to support biodiversity, and sponsored the Honora French and Irish Sustainable Couture Show to promote sustainability in fashion.

In conjunction with the Phoenix Foundation, the India team planted 1250 saplings.

Our Ireland team also sponsored and supported several youth sports organizations, including Treaty United Carelon Academy, Limerick Cricket, Cricket Munster, Cricket Ireland, and the Gaelic Athletic Association.
